These are all beautiful places straight out of a Hans Christian Anderson story. I especially love Bibury and Pena Palace.

These towns are magical! So far I have only seen the Cinque Terre (which definitely live up to the hype). I can’t think of one of these I wouldn’t add to my list. 🙂

When I saw – Stari Grad Croatia – I forgot about others haha. But I would like to visit all of them. Sorry, but I’m Croatian and I’m so proud when I see our towns on other blogs and lists.

Great compilation! I’ve been to Sintra, it was magical. That way, I know the rest of the places can be perfect places to put on my list to visit in the future.

I hope Halstatt looks like that every day in winter because it is gorgeous. Giethoorn seems to be a very charming city. I like that you have to use a boat to get around. The photo of Kayerserberg is incredible. I can only imagine how it is in person. There are so many beautiful cities to explore on this list.

This is a great list for Europe, and I feel so lucky I have them on my doorstep! I agree with Sintra, it’s one of my favourites. You could add Siena to the list too, the duomo here is incredible!

These European cities look like they fell out of a story book. I’ll be going to Delft in September but haven’t made it to any of the others yet. I’ll definitely add them all to my list!

This is such an exceptional list of astonishing cities! I have heard of all of them but never of Kaysersberg which is breathtaking. I definitely need to add it to my bucket list! Also Bled and the lakes seem a must visit!

I’ve been to a lot of these! Cinqueterre, Starigrad, Cesky Krumlov, Lake Bled…
I tried to go to Bibury last time I was in England but I didn’t have a car where I was at-and it was too many hours by train to make sense for a day trip (we were cat-sitting). Love love storybook pretty cities. Wasn’t super enchanted by Sintra though-it felt more falsely created to be storybook like than really storybook like. Next I definitely want to do Alsace and the villages on the Rhein!

I’ve been to San Gimignano and I have to say, it deserves to be on this list! As a Dutchman I’m also really glad you included Delft and not Amsterdam, the last one is the one place every tourist goes to while we have so many other picturesque towns! :p

By the way, standing on top of those tower in San Gimiano can be quite scary when you think about the fact how old these things are. I’m not sure if it was San Gimiano, but after my visit a friend of mine told me that during the second world war soldiers actually made it a competition to knock one of these down.. I’m glad I didn;t know that when i climbed them! ahah 😛

What an absolutely detailed depiction of Europe’s most beautiful cities. While I love Austrian and French cities, there’s something about German ones that has always spoken to me. I was so glad to see that you included Rothenburg ob der Tauber on the list. That place really takes me back in time.
