Getting the Visa

Traveling to New Zealand has become even easier now. Before October 2019, people from the majority of the countries were required to apply for a visa. But now, if you are looking for visa-free entry, you can apply for NZeTA as well which allows you to get an electronic travel authorization to enter the country. You can apply for it by visiting https://www.newzealand-visa.org/ and the process is not very complex either. However, it does not guarantee you entry. The final decision is made on arrival. You should also check out the requirements for your country first.

Travel to South

The biggest attraction of New Zealand is its green and gorgeous landscapes. Right after the moment, you land in the country people there will encourage you to visit the southern part, and rightly so, because it is like a dream place with so much nature that will heal your soul. I am not saying that the north is not worth exploring, it has its own beauty but the dramatic effect you will get in the south will not be found in the north.

It Can Be Expensive

When you are traveling to New Zealand, do not forget to bring a good amount of money, because it is hard to survive this trip on a budget. New Zealand is quite expensive from food and fuel to accommodations; nothing is as cheap as you will expect. So I will advise you to cook your own meal and avoid eating too much in the restaurants. If you want to shop cheap in NZ, you can go to Pak N Save as the groceries there are cheap. But you should shop in bulk, especially if you are camping. Because you would not be able to find that store very easily.

You Will Get All the Weathers

The weather in the land down under is not very consistent. Sometimes it is cold while other times, you might be sweating. It can be sunny in the day and by 5:00 pm it will be raining cats and dogs. So be prepared for the weather all the time, and do not forget to check the forecast when you are starting your day. You can be in the north feeling hot and by the time you arrive in Wellington, you will feel like you have entered into a cold zone.

Renting a Car is the Best Option

If you want to get the real New Zealand experience, then it is recommended that instead of traveling around on the bus, you get your own vehicle. The most scenic places are those where the buses do not go. Also, it can be complicated for backpackers to enjoy their experience on the bus. You can get a mini camping van fuel it up and can leave for the adventure on your own.
