Travelling and Smoking

Today, we will talk about traveling and smoking and if there are any special rules, a smoker needs to obey while traveling. Firstly, smoking in public places has been forbidden for decades already. The point is that before society understood the level of harm of second-hand smoking, it was officially allowed to smoke everywhere.

Getting back to history, the boom of smoking bans in public places happened at the beginning of the XXI century. Now the studies show that such a ban is quite useful for public health and prevents many possible diseases. For example, second-hand smoking is usually called one of the reasons for cancer development. So when more people are less exposed to second-hand smoking, they get less chance to get cancer.

Tip 1: Understand the legislation in your area

There is nothing quite like learning via a patrol prosecutor’s words that the legal smoking herbs in your state are very prohibited in some other area. It is indeed usually a good idea to plan the itinerary ahead of time and look up the correct requirements for each leg of your journey on the web so that you can prepare appropriately.

Tip 2: Vaping is much better than smoking

Although people might like the routine and practicality of cigarettes, long drives are the kind of times when vaporization may offer a ton of benefits. Vaping has a number of advantages, including reducing residual smoke aromas. The wax pen and the dab pen are two low-cost vaporizers for liquids or plants.

Tip 3: Smoking zone in the waiting areas

The biggest problem for smokers is finding a place to smoke in waiting areas, particularly at airports. After passing the security check, a smoker will not be able to go outside, let alone smoke in the cabin. However, for those who can’t even spend an hour without nicotine, most airports worldwide have smoking rooms.

Tip 4: Always choose the best vape pen for wax, liquid, or weed

Some parts of your devices can get damaged when you’re traveling, so it is important to choose high-quality devices, not fragile ones. The old-school method that works well is wrapping the device parts into paper or bubble wrap. This will allow you to transport your vaping device around with no harm to it.

It is also important to remember that transporting the vaping substance depends on the substance. If you use a wax vape pen, remember not to heat the wax to avoid having all your things sticky and filthy. If you use a simple vape pen for e-liquid, remember that airlines do not allow carrying more than 1 liter of liquid with a maximum of 100 milliliters in each bottle in case you do not have checked luggage. If you use ordinary cigarettes, some courtiers do not allow you to enter the country with more than two packs of cigarettes. In this case, it is much easier to take any type of vaping device.

Tip 5: Make sure you don’t have illegal substances in your smoking kit

Firstly, learn the rules of your destination place, no matter whether that is another state, country, or part of the world. The restrictions in some places can be so severe that it would not be easy to avoid imprisonment. Forget about the idea of taking drugs, even if it is marijuana, even if it is in the form of the best concentrate pen. Local laws can be unpleasant for you, but you should always obey them. However, if you’re in a pinch, there are other ways, for instance, using your socks or bra for a hiding spot.

Tip 6: Count the amount of smoking substance that you need

This tip is important for both your luggage and travel in general. Never take too many things. Mostly you can buy everything you need at the place where you travel. Sometimes it can be a bit more expensive. So the first things to do are to google and to compare prices. If smoking is cheaper in the destination place, just take some cigarettes for your trip. Everything else can be bought when you arrive. You can also buy some extra to take it home. So traveling can be profitable this way.

If the situation is the opposite, try to observe yourself for a week or two. Note the number of cigarettes or vaping liquid that you puff daily. Also, don’t take extra smoking accessories. If you have a couple of mouthpieces, take only one of them. If you know you smoke more when you have more free time, take some more smoking material. If you want to cut your smoking, then any trip is a good opportunity to try it. If you are brave enough, you can even try to leave your dab vape pen at home. That could be a good start unless you will get too nervous and spoil the trip.

Tip 7: Keep The Smell of Smoke to a Minimum

As mentioned before, traveling can be a good opportunity to give up unhealthy habits. However, reducing smoking sessions to a minimum can be pretty stressful, so before doing so, make sure that your holiday brings only positive emotions to you.

What is more, when on holiday, we do not cook ourselves mostly. If you are going to eat in the canteen or a restaurant, try to avoid smoking beforehand. Non-smokers can feel the smell of smoke much better than smokers do. Therefore, respecting the boundaries of others will bring you more positive emotions than smoking like a chimney. The same works for other public places that you are going to visit. For instance, beaches, golf clubs, parties, zoos, museums, etc.
