Best Boardwalks on the Jersey Shore

Head to the Atlantic Coast and take a stroll along the many boardwalks the Jersey Shore has to offer. You won’t find a better place than a Jersey Shore boardwalk to smell the salt-laden breezes from the ocean and witness attractions seen only at the boardwalks.

Whether you’re a beach lover and plan to sit on the beach and tan all day, or you’re an adrenaline junkie seeking a thrill, Jersey Shore boardwalks have something for everyone. We’ve saved you some time researching your options by compiling a list of three boardwalks to put on your agenda.

If you’re traveling with your children, take them to Morey’s Piers and Waterparks. The smaller kiddos can hop on the children’s swings or drive around in the kid-size race cars. If you’re seeking a thrill, ride The Great White roller coaster going 105 miles per hour and get ready to throw your hands up in the air as you experience a 25-foot drop into a dark tunnel. If that experience isn’t enough, take a ride on the newly refurbished Great Nor’easter roller coaster. Be warned ― the 95-foot drop will have your heart racing.

Visit the Ghost Ship where you’ll walk through dark, confined areas while live scenes invade your personal space. After your adrenaline has settled down, head to the Boathouse Restaurant and Marina Deck to enjoy fresh seafood.

Did you know the Atlantic City Boardwalk was originally constructed in 1870 so that train passengers wouldn’t get sand in their feet? Take a walk along this historic boardwalk, and if the children are fascinated by magic, stop at Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Odditorium. See a collection of unusual and bizarre exhibits from around the world. This attraction is undoubtedly the only place you’ll ever see a spider made from knives and scissors and authentic shrunken heads.

If it’s much-needed adult time you crave, go to Bally’s Atlantic City Casino and check out the latest hot slots. Enjoy an intimate night out listening to some great music from the hottest DJs and favorite local bands. Enjoy soft rock by Player or some smooth rhythm and blues with Dru Hill.

Head to Seaside Heights Boardwalk and witness the beauty of a 100-year-old antique carousel. The American-made, hand-carved carousel is one of two surviving in the United States. Soar over the pier and ocean at speeds of up to 80 miles per hour on the sky coaster. Relax on the sky ride and get a view of the boardwalk.

You’ll get a kick out of the Music Man Medleys Singing Ice Cream Parlour. Create your own masterpiece and watch the cast maneuver around the shop singing. Heads up ― guests are part of the show.

Jersey Shore boardwalks offer a variety of family-friendly activities. Be sure to visit one soon: You’ll agree that the experience was worth the trip.
